Living Conditions
- Single crew cabin accommodations
- Cabins are generally compact, but comfortable
- Room and board (including meals) is provided free of charge
- Access to gyms, multiple dining options, laundry, and crew lounges
Compensation
- Port & Shopping Presenters are paid a weekly base salary plus generous commissions based on achieved sales targets. Earning potential is unlimited.
Contracts
- Port & Shopping Presenters are considered independent contractors, not employees of The PPI Group.
- Ship assignments are 6 months in length, with 4 to 6 weeks off in between contracts.
- 40+ hours per week (including days and evening hours).
Requirements to Sign on Board
- Valid passport
- C1/D Seaman's Visa for Non-U.S. and non-Canadian citizens
- Laptop computer capable of playing PowerPoint presentations
- Video camera and a tripod (must be mini DV, DVD, or mini DVD)
- $1,000 cash available and/or a valid credit card (in the event money is needed to cover incidental expenses during the first few weeks of employment).
- Complete cruise line physical (specific cruise lines forms provided by The PPI Group).
- Wardrobe of basic business attire and formal wear
- Previous cruise line employees or concessionaires must obtain written consent from your company before leaving the previous position.
